Job Description
|
Overall Purpose:
Take overall technical product ownership of Zorro Projectors specifically the current 2015HC. Role will involve technical coordination of product issue resolution, product specification definition and product improvement.
Will take technical lead on projector development and issue resolution programs

Key Accountabilities:
• Single point of contact for engineering for Zorro products. Responsible for the technical leadership and project management of the design & development activities, within the guidelines set by the LCVSM and Customer
• Full ownership of product development schedules and status, tracked against customer commitments and internal R&D goals
• Serve as a product architect to plan, capture and manage requirements, analyze, design, test and document products with high complexity
• Generation of new solutions and concepts and the innovative application of those already existing
• Recommend new approaches and techniques to achieve continuous improvement in product and system development processes
• The smooth introduction of new ideas and applications into production and system integration
• Undertake investigative development work, test concepts and trial new materials and theories in order to prove solutions being developed
• Swift, coordinated and effective tackling of issues impacting product competitive edge
• Maintain up to date knowledge on Projection technologies
Maintain up to date knowledge on applications trends and related technologies with respect to Projection Technologies.
• Definition and optimisation of specifications for current and future products
• Facilitate the learning process within the Teams
A key requirement of this position is to ensure that the necessary technical skills and knowledge are disseminated throughout the division and business. Whenever possible the appropriate Team should be involved in developing solutions |

Key Qualifications and Experience:
Technical experience in projection displays industry - Must
Honours Degree in software, electronics or related discipline - Must - although equivalent appropriate experience will be considered
Innovative problem solver and solution provider - Must
Experience of working on large-scale projects as part of a mixed discipline team - Must
Technical Project management experience - Desirable
Simulation visual systems experience – integration and problem solving - Desirable |
